Visionary Software FAQ

  1. Are updates available?

Visionary On The Web allows you to retrieve updates and new forms, learn about the company, check out a selection of related links, and review frequently asked questions. Internet access is listed as one of the requirements of Visionary OFFICE™ PM. All updates for Visionary OFFICE™ PM are done through the Internet, and are placed on the web on a weekly basis. It is recommended that you stay current with weekly updates.

  2. My claims are being rejected. What should I do?

Since October 16, 2003 more and more of my claims are getting rejected and the rejection summaries look like gibberish!

HIPAA mandates are changing the way everyone does business today. We are working with the necessary Government agencies to make sure claims transmissions go smoothly for all of our clients. Requirements and programming changes vary by State and Agency. We are continually committed to seeing Visionary Medical Systems clients through the HIPAA changes as smoothly as possible.

  3. Does Visionary OFFICE offer keyboard shortcuts?

Saving time with data entry will streamline your practice efficiency. Visionary OFFICE™ features many keystroke shortcuts so your staff can expedite the time consuming task of data entry.

  4. How do we receive updates and stay HIPAA compliant?

Product updates are provided as part of an Annual Support Agreement. Visionary applications are continually updated to keep our customers in compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, current clients use the download interface within Visionary OFFICE™ PM to connect to our secure server for product enhancements and version updates. These updates are included in the cost of your Annual Support Agreement, representing a significant savings compared to vendors who charge for required updates or classify an update as a product upgrade to rationalize charging a fee. 5. I've received an ANSI error message '2010AA REF' error, what does this mean?

This indicates that a secondary insurance company attached to the patient information is missing a physician id in the insurance company management screen. ANSI errors are new to everyone and determining what they mean can be time consuming and frustrating. At Visionary Medical Systems, we want to eliminate as much of the frustration as possible. So we've developed an ANSI Error List so you can address an error quickly and prevent any additional errors from following. This list covers the most common rejections; complete with the actual ANSI error, description of error, and what tab or screen in Visionary you need to go to correct each error. Review our ANSI Error List.

  6. What about data backup?

Data backup should be performed on a daily basis, preferably at the close of your business day. The process only takes a moment, and is a sound business practice that affords you a source of your data should you have a system failure. After a backup is performed, the data must be saved to an external storage media (CD, CD-RW, Zip Disk, or tape). The backup process is performed in order to safeguard your data in the event of an unforeseen disaster or malfunction.
