Electronic Lab Results from Quest Diagnostics®: Integrated electronic laboratory (“e-Lab”) result functionality provides electronic collection and routing in Alteer Office of laboratory test results sent from diagnostic/reference laboratories directly into the Alteer Office system. The current release includes support for e-Lab results from Quest Diagnostic Laboratories, with additional lab interfaces soon to follow. The new e-Lab results feature provides a means for paperless lab processing and eliminates manual routing of lab result tasks, thereby allowing clinical staff to increase productivity, reduce time spent waiting for lab results and their distribution in the office, as well as improve accuracy and data tracking for laboratory test results.

Support for PDF (Portable Document Format) Documents: Documents of file type PDF (portable document format) now are supported in Alteer Office. PDF documents can be imported, routed, printed, and faxed, just like any other document in the system. PDF documents include a helpful new viewing and searching toolbar.
